Elham (born 1985, Iran) is a contemporary artist Brussels based whose practice emerges from a deep dialogue between nature, science, and Persian literary philosophy. Trained as an earth scientist, she sees no boundary between scientific inquiry and artistic exploration; both serve as pathways to understanding the world and her place within it. Her work often begins with simple, ephemeral materials, branches, paper, string, wind reflecting a life shaped by movement, migration, and the need to create beyond the confines of a fixed studio.

Influenced by the symbolic language of Persian literature, Elham treats objects as carriers of meaning and catalysts for reflection. She invites audiences to transform her works through their own interpretations, believing that once art meets its viewers, it no longer belongs solely to the artist.

Elham’s artistic journey has gained recognition through international exhibitions. In 2023, her work was featured in conFRONTation at the Climate Art Collection in Berlin, as well as in Polyvocality at the Artaxis/NCECA Annual Conference and the Women Working with Clay Symposium. In 2022, she exhibited Sim-Biotic at the Venice Arsenale. Previous exhibitions include the Suning Art Museum during Shanghai Art Season (2021), Environmental Alterations at LoosenArt in Rome (2021), and Another Time for the Quarantine Art Project (2020). Earlier in her career, she was selected for the Third Tehran Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition at Aria Gallery.
